Sales Operations / Proposal Coordinator - Life Sciences

The primary responsibility of the Sales Operations / Proposal Coordinator is to drive disciplined application of our three-phase Relationship Based Sales (RBS) Process:
(1) develop and advance client relationships prior to opportunity identification (Opening Game); (2) strategically position us for specific opportunities (Middle Game); and (3) develop high-quality opportunity-specific response documents with competitive and compelling sales messages to satisfy client business goals (End Game).
Research and Analysis o Conducts client, competitor and market research, as required in support of client and/or opportunity strategy development and provides corresponding analysis.
o Collaborates with the designated core client sponsorship team to populate SharePoint sites and supports the development of documented client strategies and related information.
Sales Material Development o Provides writing for proposals and marketing materials, as required.
o Interacts regularly with operations personnel to support development of sales material (e.
g.
conducts interviews of Subject Matter Experts).
o Proofs and edits technical and non-technical documents for accuracy and consistency.
o Organizes and participates in response-related meetings (internal and/or client), as appropriate.
Opportunity Response Co-ordination o Works with designated response team members to develop opportunity response plans in alignment with our Relationship Based Sales (RBS) process.
o Manages response efforts for client questionnaires, qualifications requests, sales opportunities that are smaller in size and/or complexity, and volumes/sections on larger opportunities.
o Works with inside/outside sales and operating segments to identify response requirements and develop a realistic approach and schedule for the response.
o Monitors progress against the opportunity response plan.
o Coordinates response reviews and approvals.
o Coordinates and/or manages production of response documents.
Knowledge and Process Management o Maintains and supports proposal collaboration tool content and use.
o Develops, prepares, and updates/maintains non-opportunity specific / additional sales qualification and reference materials (including rsums, project descriptions and organization charts) in designated information management systems.
o Oversees various knowledge management and database systems, ensures effective use of these tools within the organization, and contributes to further development of these tools.
o Shares information (resumes, project descriptions, qualification data, etc.
), knowledge, and best practices with inside sales staff company wide.
Other o Takes ownership of our standards to develop/improve, implement and present a consistent appearance/style in compliance with our corporate identity for all business development media (external marketing communications, public relations, project descriptions, qualification packages, presentation graphics, rsums, leaflets, etc.
).
o Must provide graphics and desktop publishing skills:
o Provide high level document and slide formatting/design for proposals, presentations, advertisements, brochures, banners, tradeshow materials and other marketing & sales support collateral.
o Design and produce a wide variety of graphics including tables, org charts, matrices, maps, and other information graphics.
o Translates technical information into effective visual concepts & design.
o Candidate should be o Experience with other creative software, including alternative presentation, interactive/multimedia, video editing, and HTML programming tools a plus.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
o Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or other technical or related discipline from a four-year college or university.
Similar working level obtained through relevant job experience may be accepted in lieu of degree level education.
o
Experience:
2 years of relevant experience o Experienced in working within teams within fast-paced environment.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Strong attention to detail and an ability to establish and meet deadlines/budgets.
o Strong organizational, management and research skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
o Good interpersonal skills to build relationships across operational and sales teams.
o Proactive, self-motivator.
o Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, in a PC environment, with advanced level understanding of styles, master pages, and page formatting techniques; should possess a strong understanding of design principles and typography; and have some experience/familiarity with other creative software tools in the Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
).
o Work may be required after hours and on weekends, and sometimes on short notice.
Must also be willing and able to travel.
