POSITION
Summary:
The VP of Segment Marketing for Health Systems is responsible for directing and driving all aspects of segment marketing activities: strategy, marketing tactics, marketing operations and performance management. The role is critical to ensuring that marketing activities are strategically aligned to segment goals, effectively planned and efficiently executed. The VP will provide marketing leadership and strategic guidance to segment leadership teams. Additionally, this role will identify points of intersection between business units and facilitate collaboration on marketing strategy, go-to-market position and marketing execution. As a member of the AmerisourceBergen Marketing Team, the VP will be accountable for identifying marketing opportunities, communicating marketing activities and reporting marketing performance.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Works closely with Health Systems business leaders and marketing team to analyze the marketplace and formulate marketing strategies in support of health systems customer experience and service offerings.
Collaborates with the business leadership on strategy, organizational management, resourcing and delivery of P&L goals.
Provides expertise and guidance on marketing concepts, practices and procedures.
Works closely with sales organization to understand key sales and thought leadership initiatives.
Applies innovative approaches in order to build awareness of the Health Systems business solutions and customer experience across the health systems segment and customers including thought leadership initiatives and brand awareness opportunities.
Works with sales enablement to drive marketing content and messaging to help sell and support health systems high impact solutions.
Work with enterprise marketing teams to coordinate and leverage multi-channel marketing strategies.
Travels to and represents Health Systems at various industry events.
Assists senior sales & marketing management in the coordination of new solution development to ensure that all aspects of the market positioning are in alignment with operational, financial, sales, and profitability objectives.
Keeps abreast of industry trends and competitor activity; builds rapport with industry professionals and customers in order to determine present and future market conditions and needs of the organization, particularly as it relates to solution development.
Champions business segment perspectives and needs of the business segment in overall ABC marketing strategy and tactics.
Recommends adjustments to marketing strategy and solutions based on changes in the industry.
Performs related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as marketing strategy, business administration, accountancy, sales, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program; MBA with a concentration in Marketing preferred. Normally requires eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
High degree of technical knowledge of principles in marketing management
Experience with healthcare landscape, in particular, pharmacy
Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
Demonstrated ability in managing teams
Positive attitude, excellent team player with ability to work independent
Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong creativity skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
Strong presentation skills

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
