Senior Process Automation and Control Engineer

Responsibilities:
This Process Automation & ControlEngineer is responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the field ofautomation, mainly on pharmaceutical plants, successfully applying fundamentalconcepts, practices and procedures to support engineering.
Define the philosophy of the automationsystems according to customer requirements and regulations of thepharmaceutical industry acting as an interface between the customer, supplierof equipment and systems integrators for the entire building, site orproject.
Develop and finalize the technical specificationsand carry out the follow up with the supplier, according to the specificationsissued.
Support of Process Engineering in theactivities of specification and follow up of pharmaceutical equipment.
Develop estimates of investment for theautomation area.
Perform engineering tasks usingestablished procedures, these include, but are not limited to, automation equipmentselection, schematic design, system layout, cost estimation and systemdocumentation.
Develop and implement control andautomation solutions based upon Concept, Basis of Design, Class of Plant,P&IDs, control narrative and an understanding of the environment.
Insure accuracy and reliability ofinstrumentation, control and safety systems.
Generate system architecture andautomation network drawings.
Work closely with other departments tooptimize efficiency and reliability.
Provide effective communication for theteam that delivers the key messages on our core value and enhances the cultureof client focus and delivering client delight.
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering,Control Systems or Instrumentation.
Minimum of 20 years working experiencein similar position required, coming from engineering companies.
Ability to read and understandschematic diagrams, P&IDs, automation and control system documentation.
Fluent knowledge of English language
Must have working knowledge of a widevariety of software packages, operating systems and equipment including DCS,SCADA, PLC and MES.
Ability to effectively managepriorities while working with various types of people.
Bus technology experience forinstrumentation such as Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus Ethernet IP, Devicenet,ASI or equal
Understands GMP life cycledocumentation such as URS, FS and detailed design packages.
Technical knowledge of instrumentationselection and specification
Capable of writing technicalspecifications to support projects
S88 batch and S95 hierarchy in lifescience project automation strategies
Familiar with Validation, GAMP and GMP,CFR21 Part 11 and the Pharma / Bio Industry standards.
Must possess strong written and verbalcommunication skills and be proficient in the development of projectdocumentation (including project scope of work, functional and technicalrequirements, construction specifications, automation and control strategy).
