Ecovyst is currently on the hunt for a Business Development Manager - Advanced Recyling.
The role is responsible for developing new business opportunities within the Zeolyst International (ZI) strategic business unit (SBU) of Ecovyst Catalyst Technologies in the Advanced Recycling market sector.
The Business Development Manager will proactively identify, develop and ultimately commercialize new business opportunities that enable ZI to fully utilize its worl leading capabilities in advanced recycling to meet customers incresingly challenging demands.
This will involve analyzing market and technology trends in key market sectors and working closely with internal and customer R&D groups to drive through new innovative solutions to commercialization.
The role requires close communication with Account Managers, R&D, Product Management and Marketing, Operations and 3rd party partners to develop economically attractive and sustainable business opportunities for Zeolyst International.

Responsibilities:
Continually and proactively analyze global Advanced Recycling markets to establish current and future customer requirements, enabling the ZI SBU to identify new opportunities for growth by commercializing its existing technology portfolio and also utilize its technical capabilities to develop new, innovative technology platforms Drive Internal Business Cases that clearly define potential commercial opportunity, investment timeframe, potential risks and mitigations and establish clear strategic fit within ZI SBU Lead the development and launch of new products, ensuring Stagegate processes are followed, value propositions developed and appropriate marketing collateral in place prior to launch Work seamlessly with the ZI R&D team based in Conshohocken, PA to deliver sustainable, customer driven solutions and value propositions that meet the customers' existing and future needs within the market sector Successfully engage at different stages with multiple stakeholders within the customers organization (e.
g.
R&D, Production, Product Management) to overcome inertia, ensuring that new customer driven innovations are adopted in a timely manner Identify the most efficient routes to market globally and establish relationships as required with commercial agents, distributors and technical partners For launched products, train the commercial team on value propositions and once stable, support handover of contacts to manage the business Identify and evaluate potential collaboration partners that would enable new opportunities to be delivered more rapidly and cost effectively to our customers Engage with relevant national research centers, institutes and universities globally, to ensure that ZI is aware of government funded projects in the Advanced Recycling area Represent ZI at industry specific Conferences, Exhibitions and Technology Insight events to ensure visibility within the market sector and to develop future leads Continually scan the market for potential in-organic opportunities for the ZI business and bring opportunities for potential acquisition, JV or partnering to the ZI Senior Leadership team NOTE:
This global role comes with the expectation of travel, including international, to be greater than 50% to meet the responsibilities of this role Other responsibilities (as deemed appropriate by Management) may be added at any time.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Chemical/Process Engineering is essential PhD in catalysis or relevant field is desired
Experience:

years total career experience with 7-10 years in Business Development including:
Experience in Advanced Recycling industry Commercial, R&D, Marketing disciplines in catalysts environments International business experience Scientific understnading of materials and catalysts and their applications across a range of segments such as Advanced Recycling, Refinery, Petrochemical and Renewable Fuels Demonstrated successes and flexibility to identify and implement varying partnership and joint development agreements with customers and co-stakeholders Experienced working cross-functionally and vertically within an orgnanization to drive through new innovative opportunities through project management Experience and understanding of contract development and complex risk management strategies related to new business development activities.
Demonstrable skill interpreting and managing sources of contractual risk, while converting in-principle deals to finished contracts Strong analytical skills, analyzing data and building business cases with demonstrated project management skills to execute to timelines and KPI's Personal Attributes High quality professional, with confidence and composure are critical to enable:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
